Politik dan Perempuan di China : Sebuah Tinjauan Historis dan Praktik Partisipasi Politik Perempuan di China

Abstract


As a country with the high economic growth since an open door policy implementation in 1978 in facts, this situation in line with women’s condition in China.  This changes has improved women into better important role in all aspects, socio economics activities, but unfortunetely it is not much better in political activities. This article would like to explain about the background history of the transformation for women's political participation in China, since Mao Zhedong leadership until the election in 2012. This paper would like also to analize the journey of political participation in China.

This article will be divided into several parts, first, descriptive explanation about the progress of  political participation movement since gender equality regulations that has been conducted in the constitution. Second, describe an overview of China's political system, in related to a question what is the causes of women’s political participation in China still have not significantly greater change than other country even the affirmative policies has been conducted. This parts, the author would like to explain behind of the leadership in China’s government and  the role of political parties or policies to encourage women's political participation in which the starting point is from how this political party involved in the recruitment process until representation establishment in parliament, morever this article would like to analyze and answer what is the problem behind  transformation  of women's political participation in China today and defining the political participation of women in China practicaly.
